Book of Wanderings
San Miguel de Allende
Sept. 6-13, 2014
a workshop by
Imagine that...
Each day you will awaken to the scents,
sounds and colors of Mexico.
After a delicious breakfast and lovely conversation
I will guide as you in constructing your Book of Wanderings
and then as you sketch and draw,
beginning indoors and then moving outside
to the entrancing courtyard of Casa Carmen.
Later in the morning we will wander out,
sketchbooks in hand,
into the heart of San Miguel de Allende...
drawing, painting and collecting objects
all to incorporate into our Book of Wanderings.
Arched doorways , colored stucco walls,
iron grilled windows, flowers, butterflies and birds
will be our backdrop of inspiration
as we create in our own "Book of Wanderings."
Back at Casa Carmen
we will enjoy a delicious lunch together sharing
stories, inspiration and laughter.
Then... nestled in the magical courtyard
we will work on finishing our drawings and paintings
from our morning wanderings
and begin collaging on our pages.
Roxanne will guide you in the creation of wonderful
and unique stitching and attaching
and book projects that could be part of your journals
or kept as a separate work of art.
Late afternoons and evenings
will be your own
to rest,
reflect or explore...
or to work more in your “Book of Wanderings.”
