When there is magic in my garden, and there is magic in the books and magazines I read I can't be happier.  Especially if it is the art zine called Pasticcio Quartz!

 

 

This issue is especially special because there is an article about my collaboration with the wonderful Seth, from The Altered Page!

le solstice d'ete

The solstice of summer brings me deep into my gardens and deep into my art.  

I take a new look at windows as I explore small, old towns close to home.  

I take a new look at a single flower, for it's life is so short,

And I take a new look at my art.  Although I would like to take a new direction, my subjects stay true to what I love.

Somehow all these things connect inside of me on this beautiful twenty-first day of June.

summer begins with many mondays

before me

 

 

starting today,

time to stretch out and grow

 

 

time to take a new look, take a breath,

and watch the sky 

 

 

even the birds say

stretch out,

 

 

there is a place for you here.

 

 

mondays for watching wildlife

(my dog knows there's a squirrel up there somewhere)

 

 

and hiding in the garden

 

 

for daydreaming

 

 

and feeling the sun

 

 

to be enchanted

 

 

to get lost in my world

 

 

and watch it change,

 

 

and watch it grow...

to dream and grow

and to take refuge in your own world...
