On September mornings
you wake up to find the lighting has changed.
You see things in a new way.
You place yellowing leaves on a journal page
and photograph them together.
The caped woman holds
the secret of the earth.
Maybe you explore a little town.
that you haven't seen ever before.
Maybe you go to the local nursery.
And find some new plantings
and lovely soil
to add to your garden.
With Russian sage and Crysanthemums.
from the garden.
And dance and twirl.
And you go outside...
And somehow the morning
has become the evening.
The little town photographed here is Bandon, Oregon, where I was last week teaching a workshop.

I applaud my students for their creations and loving spirits.
They wrapped their arms around me and let me be their teacher.
I have been part of an on-line workshop by Deb Taylor called Mish Mash. You can read about it here.
The heart photographs and the twirling were inspired by her.
