So happy to meet you here !
I just love that accordion book so much!!
and oh that space at the Sitka Center...so yummie!!
I lived in Everson, WA (north of Bellingham) and miss the delicious summers. The art. The fresh markets. But not the winters!!

Now I can comment!!! What beauty you create Roxanne - I have looked and looked again and again, and enjoyed and enjoyed. Beautifully done - all of it!

Roxanne, this post is a refuge! that iris made my eyes tear up. So delicate. Congratulations to you in your continuing success. That accordion book!

I'm sketching more, and I think of your delicate birds. This Snipe is uncommonly gorgeous!

I am so happy for you, Roxanne! Your joy in the things you are doing now is so apparent in the beautiful photographs and words you share here. Refuge, yes, but also a blossoming that is so nice to witness!

It is raining here this morning. We have had so much rain this summer. The gardens love it. I love it too!

"While I was writing this post I realized that everything is a refuge for something."

This is perfect, beautiful.
(also one of the blessings of writing, we realize what we know.)

The flowers, the journey, all are you!

Beatuiful post! I really love the accordion book... wonderful, and the bird drawing... and the house looks lovely where you stayed and art all around including outside. Love that you can see the sea through the stone circle. You had a good foxglove year, here, it wasn't as good as last year.. gotta make sure I plant some seeds so I continue to have them! Happy almost August (sigh) and have a wonderful show and workshop.

Seth

What a bounty of beauty here Roxanne -- your shots of the flowers and nature, your wonderful book in progress, and especially that incredible drawing of the bird. Sitka looks like it was a wonderful place to teach and I just know that you are going to have the best time at both Art is You and the Pacific Northwest Art School. 2013 and now 2014 are treating you well!

Stephanie

oh Roxanne, you dream it and it comes to be

makes me smile and gives me inspiration!

Don't you love...dreams come true. When we experience them, we are the only one that knows that personal intense joy and feel like nothing that wonderful could ever happen again...and then it DOES! There are PLENTY of dreams come true, to go around:) congratulations Dream Girl!
