A mother/daughter weekend away...that must be so special.
Wonderful photographs (loved the anthropologie ones) and some of that architecture is so beautiful.
Congratulations on your two paintings being accepted...they are both so beautiful Roxanne.

Nice to feel your mother-love.

Never been to Portland, someday!

Congrats Roxanne! It looks like you had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. Love the anthropologie displays!

The city looks wonderful, as the interiors and the displays. Your work looks strong and beautiful...congratulations.
I live in a beach town and ever so often it is nice to break away from surfers, flip flops, and walk the city (SF) streets.
Nice too to travel with daughter!

It sounds fun! I live just outside of the other Portland.

Congrats Roxanne! Your pieces have a lovely space. Amanda is as lovely as her mom. I loved Portland the one time I was there... So modern yet intimate. I will be back again eventually...

It's nice to hear about this special trip with your daughter. Singular moments!

Congratulations Roxanne!! On having your work selected for the show! Your pieces are both very nice! It's wonderful that you and your daughter could have this experience in Portland together!

Both of you have a great eye for photography! Especially I appreciate the view out of your hotel room and especially the one of you down in the gorgeous marble tiled gallery!!

p.s.
have you ever seen Portlandia...the tv series. I just found it 'on demand' and watched several...so funny! and I'm sure if I was more familiar with Portland there would be many references I'm missing!

Congratulations Roxanne. Such a wonderful experience, made even better by sharing it with family. Wish I could have been there myself!

Gorgeous photos of a beautiful city, Roxanne. Congratulations on the acceptance of your paintings. Looks like the two of you had a wonderful time. Sweet.

This is my first (but not last!) visit to your blog. I love your work, and wanted to let you know I came here after rereading your article about painting mountains in the Nov/Dec edition of Cloth Paper Scissors. It is a great article! Congratulations on your works being displayed in Portland. THey are beautiful.

Love the city shots, and your pub photos of mother daughter. That dome, though, really gets my eye! thanks for it.

Its wonderful your art is out in such a lovely city.

Blessings

portland is my favorite city.. I used to live down there before moving up north of seattle to the island.. and congrats on your show acceptance.. what a beautiful venue.

Hi Roxanne,
How is it that I haven't been here recently. Love the shots and so happy to see your paintings. So special that you were able to travel with your daughter. We visited Portland about 2 years ago for my neices wedding. So many wonderful sights- and we were lucky enough to drive to the coast as well!! Enjoy your weekend! xo Jilly
