When I look at my daughter,
I see her not only as she is now, but as she was when she was a little girl.
Tangled red hair, always determined, always so full of imagination.
She has always been beautiful,
but now even more so to me.
(Hopefully she will always let me photograph her.)
Now when I look at Amanda I feel at home.
This home that she grew up in.
Where we both found ourselves.
In this December of bare branches and window light.
I feel wishes of another small girl who joined us for Thanksgiving.
and my journey between soft and vibrant colors
This is the home where I make art.
this december of bare branches...
(these four new pieces are on sale in my etsy shop now
read about them and see more images here)

sigh.... so beautiful, lovely photos ... gorgeous art, and such delicate wings... and ... what nice tribute to your daughter and your relationship... xo

A touching post, beautiful color and love the image of the small girl and leaf silhouettes, haunting - in a mysterious and good way.

Oh, such beauty, discovered through magazine pages that drove me to your blog, drove me wild with what you have created, so calming on a day here of rain and drizzle. So I bought one of your pieces - a little bit of 'you', those trees and colours are surely dreaming. And your daughter is so beautiful too. I am so glad I alighted on your page. Thankyou.

Your blogs are so inspiring and this is uplifting and heartwarming as always. I love your postings and I especially love the way you see the world - full of color and texture, rich and deep, layered and full. Thank you dear sister.
